We hope you had a blast at this year’s ServiceNow SKO 2019 held in Las Vegas. This year’s conference broke records with nearly 4000 attendees, double last year’s number. ServiceNow continues to evolve and it’s an exciting new year for the state-of-the-art cloud platform, particularly its SAM (Software Asset Management) and GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) modules.

The conference was a fantastic gathering of players in the ServiceNow ecosystem, and we were excited to discuss strategies with sales reps, and share our own success stories and strategies. Great things can happen when two minds work together with the same goal, and the conference truly embodies this maxim to an exponential level.

SAM & GRC Modules

An interesting aspect of this year’s conference was the focus on the SAM and GRC modules. ServiceNow plans to push these modules to their maximum sales potential, and abhra is in alignment with this niche strategy having won over a few new projects and customers in 2018; specifically for these particular modules. Typically, ITSM is the module that opens the door to a company’s adoption of ServiceNow, with subsequent expansion to other ServiceNow modules. We are seeing a shift, specifically these 2 modules to attract new enterprise customers for the ServiceNow platform.



Increased Sales & Potential

ServiceNow has shown significantly increased sales, including sales through direct channels. Its success is clearly reflected in its revenue; the company made over 2 billion dollars in 2018, and shows no signs of slowing down. ServiceNow also serves over 5400 enterprise customers and this includes a whopping 75% of Fortune 500 companies, and nearly 40% of Fortune 200 companies. It is also worth noting that the company typically has a 97% renewal rate for its product, and the company was named the #1 Innovative Company by Forbes in 2018, marking it as a leader in the Service Management ecosystem. These numbers are testament to ServiceNow’s quality and potential in the Enterprise Service Management (ESM) space.

While ITSM remains the main breadwinner, the ITOM, CSM and HR modules have shown significant revenue, and the SAM and GRC modules show tremendous potential. The latter modules have become competitive in their niches making them a top choice. Given the increasing requirements for SAM and GRC, plus ServiceNow’s penetration among top tier companies, as well as the need of such companies to consolidate their multiple disparate systems on a single platform, there is a strong impetus for them to consolidate their systems on the unified ServiceNow platform.

In short, it’s good news for ServiceNow sales as there are likely to be more enterprise customers turning to ServiceNow for a cloud platform that streamlines processes and consolidates disparate systems across an entire organization.
